Le cadre domestique est le théâtre de changements d’échelle spectaculaires. La mise en scène transporte le spectateur dans l’imaginaire enfantin, dans l’univers des contes ou dans un onirisme romantique. Une violence retenue, une cruauté sous-jacente, affleurent parfois insensiblement où adviennent brutalement comme chute des vidéos elliptiques dans lesquelles Adrienne Scherrer réserve un traitement anthropomorphique aux animaux et aux plantes."

Adrienne Vilim grew up in the swiss moutain village Château-d’Oex. She now lives and works in Basel. She’s a visual arts graduate from the art school HEAD in Geneva. She studied as well in ECAL, Lausanne, and in the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich.
Her work was shown among others in Oslo gallery in Basel, Starkart gallery in Zürich, ESF gallery and in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne, Milkshake Agency and the Palais de l’Athénée in Geneva and in the Reichenbach 13 gallery in Munich.
She was invited to work in residence at the Chartreuse of Ittingen in Switzerland, and to create 2 pieces for the festival d’art contemporain en milieu rural Le Vent des Forêts in France. She participated to the swiss exchange project TET a TET in Kirghizstan together with young Kirghiz artists. She received a grand for a 3 months residence in the Artbakery in Cameroon offered by Merian Fondation in Basel. She published the text Salut Francis ! in the young art magazine Tissu.
The work of Adrienne Vilim focuses on the relationship between human and nature. The fascination for nature as an endless source of inspiration and learning. She uses different techniques to realize her works such as miniature, sculpture, drawing and collage. Paper is her favourite material, color and light are always part of the work.
